One of the Foundation's primary objectives in the coming years will be to build its AngelFish International, An Island Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Aid Organization.
Our AngelFish International organization will develop an action response team, acquire temporary housing, food, medical and water filtration and supplies, and other resources to respond quickly and productively to any weather or climate-related natural disasters that may strike within the Caribbean and South Pacific island regions.
We will, of course consider other locations when events strike, however, Petey, our Founder believes strongly that small island communities will be the hardest hit, as a result of the ever growing risk of climate change and sea rise.
Our goal is to build-up needed supplies and resources in advance and prepare these regions that are most prone to hurricanes, tsunamis and even earthquakes like those that struck Haiti in early 2010, recover quickly.
We hope to train a team of responders within each region who will be able to deploy immediately after a disaster strikes to erect temporary housing, mobile communications, provide food, clothing and medical supplies, power generators and water making equipment to assist those people most affected.
This is a bold undertaking and like our other core programs: our Clear Blue OCEANS initiative and the Marissa's Reef project, this program will be funded mainly from our share of monthly membership dues from paying members of our soon to launch SandDollar$ Travel Rewards Program.
